The seminar gives an introduction to the microeconomic theory of tournaments. Topics include the structure of contests, rewards, and strategic issues. Participants will study and present a research article from the tournament literature.

First meeting: 20.10.2009

Prerequisites

Advanced Microeconomics (Preis- und Allokationstheorie), good working knowledge of mathematical methods (game theory and probability theory)
